Vintage Versace

This look was taken a couple months ago and never posted, but the neon is still so relevant for spring/summer that we decided to share it anyway! The jacket is a Versace piece that our mom found in a vintage shop back home and snagged for us (with the matching skirt!!). It can be daunting to wear something fluorescent if that's not usually your style, but I was afraid to wear this amazing jacket at first and now it's one of my most prized items. Pro tip- you don't have to dive head first into a sea of neon. Choose a bright accessory or pair of shoes with an outfit you'd normally wear, i.e. all black or denim and test the...

Plaid Power

When Gaby pointed out this sweater from the Madewell and Girls Inc. collab, we HAD to get it. PSA: it is currently ON SALE, and 50% of the retail price goes to the amazing organization that works to inspire girls to be "Strong, smart and bold". Here at Twinseperable, we firmly believe inspired girls become empowered women. This coatigan (coat + cardigan) is many years old, but the white and black sweater would pretty much go with any other plaid iteration (options linked below). The neckline of the coatigan actually comes to the front in points, but I didn't like the way it layered over the sweater so I tucked it under and secured with safety pins. Don't be afraid to do...

Flowers and Fringe

Whenever I see the influx of outfit inspo from a recent Fashion Week, I'm inspired to try different things with my looks. Whether it be mixing in an unusual color, or experimenting with a unique texture, it's always a good reminder not to be afraid to take risks. As someone who often gravitates towards neutrals, but has been working to incorporate more color, this vintage jacket was the perfect piece for a "dreaming of Spring" look. It was an AMAZING find by our momager at a thrift store back home, and though I rarely feel confident enough to pull it out of the closet, when I do, I'm always pleased. Mixing prints is also something I hesitate with, but because they...

Inspired by Blair (not Waldorf)

For any regular readers, it should come as no surprise that Blair Eadie of Atlantic Pacific is one of our #1 style sources. Not only are her looks impeccably developed and very on brand, but everything from the photo locations to her very well-curated blog, make her a one stop shop for all of your outfit inspo needs. This look is comprised 90% of pieces she either designed or wore. Read on for the breakdown. This plaid "power set" is part of a MASSIVE collaboration she did with Halogen for Nordstrom. Aside from the variety of categories she designed into, the collection was incredibly size inclusive which is always amazing to see in this industry. The clear bag is from a brand...

The Perfect Faux Leopard Coat

1. 2. 3. I was on a hunt for the *right* leopard coat for a few months. To make things more difficult, I didn't have any specific criteria in mind, but I knew I would recognize it when I tried it on. After searching and searching, and finding many cute options to be sold out, I narrowed down to these three and ordered them (with the intention of returning two because #budgets). Style #1 (Rebecca Minkoff size M) was actually the first to arrive and it was STUNNING. The ONLY concern I had was how long it was. Leopard coats are usually shorter and this much animal print definitely intimidated me. Such a long (faux) fur also reads more formal, which could make...

Merci Beacoup

Merci_Beacoup
Or should we say Bienvenue?? It's been quite a while since we wrote a post, but we're back and excited to share more of our sartorial adventures with you! This look was so much fun to shoot because it really was an experiment in layering. I like to take inspiration from Blair Eadie when planning an outfit, but often times feel like I've either over-layered or completely missed the mark, and I opt to go simpler. Perhaps it is the fact that the jacket pictured here is from her own Atlantic Pacific X Halogen collection for Nordstrom, or that she photographed this sweater not too long ago, but IMO it all works! Ideally, I would have layered a bell sleeve blouse under the...

Favorite New Jeans

Frame_step_hem_8
I saw these ? on @colormecourtney and could not get over how great they looked! Ordering jeans online is always tricky (especially if you've never worn the brand before), since all brands size differently. Fortunately, these fit like a dream ??. On the Nordstrom website, it appears they are supposed to be more relaxed, but as seen on Courtney, and myself here, they also work on the more fitted side too! For most jeans, I'm in between sizes, but I sized down for the slim fit. The stepped ankle hem and button fly (i/o zipper), are two features that make me ❤ these jeans even more. See below for links to shop! I also included a pair from American Eagle and Gap, which...

Rainy Day Grey

saks_collection_beanie_Star_8
Hat / Sunnies / Sweater / Jacket / Skirt / Bag / Boots (old)- Similar here Grey and black are my typical go-tos, especially on a gloomy day! Mixing the slouchy grey sweater, oversized jacket and combat boots with a more structured piece like a pleated pleather skirt was fun and a really easy way to make a lazy look chic(ish). Fun fact about this beanie- I produced it for Saks Fifth Avenue (at work), and I'm suuuuuuper proud to wear it :) . The grey was my favorite (obvs), but it comes in a black and hot pink version too!...

Very Vintage

VINTAGE_SUEDE_SKIRT_4
This is one of my favorite looks of all time because it happens to be more than half vintage! Like we said in our last post, we're trying to extend the life cycles of our garments and invest in pieces that are longer lasting. The skirt was an AMAZING find from Wallflower Boutique during our recent-ish trip to San Francisco.  If you're looking for a great vintage experience, definitely make The Mission district a priority. Also, the bucket bag and three-tone (brass, silver, gold) belt belonged to our Momager! I found similar pre-owned versions of this suede midi here and here, and similar boots here! After brunching in Brooklyn (in this "recycled" getup), Gaby and I stumbled into the Package Free Shop and...
