Live-in Linen

Live_in_linen
A version of this linen outfit was my lazy/casual 4th of July cover up, and never did I think I'd make a look out of it. I've had these pieces forever and my mother and aunt had them forever before me, but they've always seemed more lounge-y and "off-duty" to me. I was reminded just how perfect they are for summer when it exceeded 90 degrees and there was NOTHING else I wanted to wear. Unfortunately, the hat and linens are hand me downs, but I scoured the internet for similar pieces. See below! Hat (Vintage)- Similar here / Sunglasses- Crap Eyewear / Top (Vintage)- Similar here, here and here / Pants (Old)- Similar here / Shoes- Marc Fisher...

Pride 2017 Look

Though this casual look is in no way exclusive to the one day a year of the NYC Pride Parade, or the month out of the year that celebrates Pride, I was especially thrilled to wear it at Washington Sq. Park last weekend. Besides the fact that proceeds from this shirt benefit the HRC, it is also soft as butter and my new favorite thing to wear with jeans. For those who don't like grey, it is also available in an ivory ground (with and without sleeves). Sunnies- Crap Eyewear / Shoes (old)- Similar Here / Tee- Everlane / Jeans- Madewell / Bag- Cult Gaia...

Last Minute Look // 4th of July

As symbolic as the American flag is, stylish it is not. Each year, the 4th of July brings out some of the worst flag inspired outfits ever, and this faux pas is so very avoidable. It IS possible to rep the red, white and blue, without looking kitschy. Below is a last minute look for any backyard bbq this weekend, and some easy no-fail rules to follow. In my opinion, white is the hardest color to wear since: a) it is expansive b) doesn't photograph well in bright sunlight. A headband, bandana or sunnies are perfect ways to get white in. Since denim screams americana, it is the perfect blue piece and likely already in your closet. Even though red doesn't look great on every skin tone, combining it with white and blue usually...

Babes Unite

BabesUnite_PP_Blazer_3
With the escalating political and cultural tension in this country, there is no shortage of amazing graphic tees. However, I think it is safe to say Denim brand AMO made my favorite one so far! There are so many things I love about this BABES UNITE shirt- It's 100% cotton, made in LA, distressed, relaxed, AND comfy as hell. P.S. 20%  of the proceeds are donated to planned parenthood.* Personally, catcalls make me feel incredibly self conscious, and my initial reaction is to slouch and walk quickly away. As someone who resents the term babe, and the numerous catcalls it usually accompanies, this shirt is my exception. In the same way Reformation's "not your baby" silk track jacket was empowering, the phrase takes back ownership...

Sami Swim

Sami Swim
The Twinseperable team has returned from a much needed vacation with an interesting epiphany. We both felt the most body positive in the least coverage bikinis. Something about being on a beach vacation in a two piece with nowhere to hide forced us to check our insecurities at the door and flaunt what our mama gave us. While we did both exercise a ton in preparation for the trip (we love Kayla Itsines BBG workouts), it was still frightening to strip off the cover ups and just BE. Sami Swim, an Aussie swimsuit company, is our absolute favorite suits for summer (Thanks Alix for the recommendation)! They have simple, albeit skimpy, silhouettes that offer a surprising amount of support (especially for...

Join the Cult

The Cult Gaia Ark bag (if you can call it a bag) has been on our wishlist since last spring! The cult-favorite was out of stock every time we tried to get our hands on it. Finally, and just in time for our trip to Cuba, we got the large size in Natural. Its structure is so unique, and the body is surprisingly spacious. For anyone looking to make even more of a statement, they recently released some other gorgeous colors. The handles take a minute to get used to, but in all other aspects, this bag is perfect for Spring/Summer and 100% worth the investment. If it isn't your style, make sure to check out some of our other seasonal faves from...

Spring Layers

We've lived in Hell's Kitchen for about two years now and are always pleasantly surprised when we stumble on a new gem. Without a route in mind, we set out to photograph this look, and walked right by (and eventually in) a gorgeous community garden. It was incredibly peaceful and reminded us of our mom's garden back home. We can't wait for the weather to warm up for good, and for the buds to bloom so we can spend more time in this escape from the concrete jungle. Sunnies- Karen Walker / Bag- Rebecca Minkoff / Dress (sample sale)- Reformation (Similar here) / Vest (Old)- Loft (Love this one here) / Boots- Stuart Weitzman  ...

Stripes // Bright Pop of Color

stripes-color-3
This sweater is one of the brighter things I've purchased, but I had a lot of fun styling it! It was a last minute impulse buy during the & Other Stories sale and definitely a good choice. The majority of items in this look are no longer available, but I linked VERY similar versions below! Hat / Coat / Sweater (Not avail.)- Similar here / Tunic (Old Zara)- Similar here / Skirt (Vintage)- Similar here / Boots / Bag / Stickers...
