Favorite New Jeans

Frame_step_hem_8
I saw these šŸ‘– on @colormecourtney and could not get over how great they looked! Ordering jeans online is always tricky (especially if you've never worn the brand before), since all brands size differently. Fortunately, these fit like a dream šŸ‘ŒšŸ¼. On the Nordstrom website, it appears they are supposed to be more relaxed, but as seen on Courtney, and myself here, they also work on the more fitted side too! For most jeans, I'm in between sizes, but I sized down for the slim fit. The stepped ankle hem and button fly (i/o zipper), are two features that make me ā¤ these jeans even more. See below for links to shop! I also included a pair from American Eagle and Gap, which...

The Boss Boot

Our love for Everlane is nothing new (see our love letter to the brand here), but lately our appreciation for the brand has extended past their clothes and socially conscious practices, to their shoes as well! These beauties are called the "Boss boot", and are the greatest shape for winter or with jean shorts in the spring. Gaby has the brown pair, but for me it was between black and taupe suede. Evidently I went with the taupe. Check out the ethical Italian factory where they were made here, and shop the look below!

Rainy Day Grey

saks_collection_beanie_Star_8
Hat / Sunnies / Sweater / Jacket / Skirt / Bag / Boots (old)- Similar here Grey and black are my typical go-tos, especially on a gloomy day! Mixing the slouchy grey sweater, oversized jacket and combat boots with a more structured piece like a pleated pleather skirt was fun and a really easy way to make a lazy look chic(ish). Fun fact about this beanie- I produced it for Saks Fifth Avenue (at work), and I'm suuuuuuper proud to wear it :) . The grey was my favorite (obvs), but it comes in a black and hot pinkĀ version too!...

Pins on Pins // Denim on Denim

Sunnies / Shirt / Jacket / Scrunchie / Bag / Jeans- Similar here / Shoes (old from Schutz)- Similar here / Pins We went super 90's with this denim on denim/pin/scrunchie situation! It was also importantĀ  for us to wear this "My Body My Business" shirt with our women's rights pins (some from our mom, some we collected ourselves). We also styled it with our Blair Eadie X Feed "Blair" bag because #Womanboss! Check out a different way to style the bagĀ here. The pins are for the most part, souvenirs from various marches and protests, and thus unavailable. However, Wildfang has great feminist adornments!!...

Velvet on Velvet

Vintage_Velvet_1
Sunnies / BlouseĀ (also similar here) / Blazer (also here) / Pants / Bag We found these amazing vintage pants when we were rummaging through our mom's closet and they fit so well with this (also vintage, and also velvet) Escada blazer (previously featured here). Velvet was made for this season and the metallic printing matched our new Feed bag perfectly. Part of the Blair Eadie X Feed Collaboration, each purchase provides 50 meals to New York families in need !! Only the bag is still available but similar versions of other pieces are linked above ā˜ļøĀ .    ...

Very Vintage

VINTAGE_SUEDE_SKIRT_4
This is one of my favorite looks of all time because it happens to be more than half vintage! Like we said in our last post, we're trying to extend the life cycles of our garments and invest in pieces that are longer lasting. The skirt was an AMAZING find from Wallflower Boutique during our recent-ish trip to San Francisco.Ā  If you're looking for a great vintage experience, definitely make The Mission district a priority. Also, the bucket bag and three-tone (brass, silver, gold) belt belonged to our Momager! I found similar pre-owned versions of this suede midi here and here,Ā and similar boots here! After brunching in Brooklyn (in this "recycled" getup), Gaby and I stumbled into the Package Free Shop and...

Double-Breasted Velvet

Velvet_double_breasted_4
Mockneck (also similar here) / Similar Jacket (also here) / OverallsĀ (Similar here) / Similar Slides   I LOVE VELVET! Especially vintage velvet. Remember our posts here and here? As mentioned on our instagram, we've been trying to purchase and incorporate much more vintage and secondhand items in our looks in order to support longer life cycles for our garments. I borrowed this blazer from our mom, and by borrowed, I mean permanently ?. I most likely rolled my eyes ? when she got it years ago, but in my defense, what thirteen year old would truly understand the fabulosity that is this purple velvet double-breasted blazer?! It's not the most functional pieces of outerwear as the buttons take FOREVER to...

Fall Florals

DARK-PRINT-SKIRT-1
Jacket / Sunnies / Shirt / Skirt (Old Reformation)- Similar here and here / Sneaks   There are so many things about this look that I love. First of all, the skirt and tee are both Reformation, which we try and buy whenever we have spare shekels. As our favorite sustainable and socially conscious brand, we do our best to splurge on a few new special pieces whenever possible. Fortunately, their tees are actually incredibly affordable and this skirt was on sale! Second, the skirt print is perfect to dress up or down and we've done both! Following the theme of sustainability, we've been on the hunt for a perfect oversized (pre-loved) denim jacket since I borrowed one from...
