Sami Swim

Sami Swim
The Twinseperable team has returned from a much needed vacation with an interesting epiphany. We both felt the most body positive in the least coverage bikinis. Something about being on a beach vacation in a two piece with nowhere to hide forced us to check our insecurities at the door and flaunt what our mama gave us. While we did both exercise a ton in preparation for the trip (we love Kayla Itsines BBG workouts), it was still frightening to strip off the cover ups and just BE. Sami Swim, an Aussie swimsuit company, is our absolute favorite suits for summer (Thanks Alix for the recommendation)! They have simple, albeit skimpy, silhouettes that offer a surprising amount of support (especially for...

Join the Cult

The Cult Gaia Ark bag (if you can call it a bag) has been on our wishlist since last spring! The cult-favorite was out of stock every time we tried to get our hands on it. Finally, and just in time for our trip to Cuba, we got the large size in Natural. Its structure is so unique, and the body is surprisingly spacious. For anyone looking to make even more of a statement, they recently released some other gorgeous colors. The handles take a minute to get used to, but in all other aspects, this bag is perfect for Spring/Summer and 100% worth the investment. If it isn't your style, make sure to check out some of our other seasonal faves from...

Spring Layers

We've lived in Hell's Kitchen for about two years now and are always pleasantly surprised when we stumble on a new gem. Without a route in mind, we set out to photograph this look, and walked right by (and eventually in) a gorgeous community garden. It was incredibly peaceful and reminded us of our mom's garden back home. We can't wait for the weather to warm up for good, and for the buds to bloom so we can spend more time in this escape from the concrete jungle. Sunnies- Karen Walker / Bag- Rebecca Minkoff / Dress (sample sale)- Reformation (Similar here) / Vest (Old)- Loft (Love this one here) / Boots- Stuart Weitzman  ...

Stripes // Bright Pop of Color

stripes-color-3
This sweater is one of the brighter things I've purchased, but I had a lot of fun styling it! It was a last minute impulse buy during the & Other Stories sale and definitely a good choice. The majority of items in this look are no longer available, but I linked VERY similar versions below! Hat / Coat / Sweater (Not avail.)- Similar here / Tunic (Old Zara)- Similar here / Skirt (Vintage)- Similar here / Boots / Bag / Stickers...

Buffalo Plaid + Faux Fur

I found this buffalo plaid shirt dress on super sale last weekend and I've already worn it three times. The black and grey combo called out to me since those are the core colors in my wardrobe, especially this time of year. It's also softer than jammies and the perfect length for otk boots. Stay tuned because there will 100% be more looks with this gem. Thoughts? Beanie (borrowed because sadly I left mine on a bus)- My fave is Love Your Melon / Sunglasses- Karen Walker / Vest (Old)- Topshop (Similar here) / Shirtdress- & Other Stories (avail. in store) / Leggings- Spanx / Boots- Stuart Weitzman / Bag- Rebecca Minkoff...

Staying Neutral

Neutral-look-3
Quick statement re: Current Events (because this title makes it SO easy)- Staying neutral is exactly what we, at Twinseperable, are NOT doing. Apologies for the very long hiatus from fashion based content. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't struggling to cope with the changes happening in our country and the resulting typhoon of emotions. I'm sad. Using it as fuel, no doubt, but sad and scared nonetheless. Getting involved has eased the helpless feeling, and so I am vowing to blog more frequently as styling looks truly makes me happy.   [eltd_blockquote text="I am no longer accepting the things I cannot change...

Plaid Coatigan

Plaid-Coatigan-2
Whenever I hear the term "coatigan", I immediately feel the urge to shout "come again?", but since it is the most accurate description of this garment, I will refrain. If it wasn't clear from the name, the coatigan is a hybrid between a coat and a cardigan. All the soft and comfy sweater qualities of a cardi combined with the basic dimensions of the coat. While it is in no way a replacement for a coat, a lesson I learned the hard way, it is a very cute layering piece. They come in ALL shapes and colors (solid, and printed), but I think it works best if you find one in a great seasonal plaid! Coatigan - Old (Similar here)/ Sweater- J.Crew /...

Varsity Jackets

Varsity-jacket-5
In a refreshing transition, heavier embellished varsity jackets for fall/winter have replaced the lightweight and sporty bomber jackets from summer. That's not to say either of the trends are seasonally exclusive. However, as the temperature drops, it's only natural that embroidered silk is traded in for patch covered wool, leather, and even in this case, faux fur. I'm not sure if it's a longing for the 60's*, or just the fact that I'm obsessed with Coach's collection which happens to be riddled with the look, but I can't get enough. The one pictured here is Zara, but I'm also in LOVE with the versions below! Saint Laurent / Coach / Rag & Bone / Opening Ceremony / French Connection / Marc Jacobs *Fun fact of...
