Double-Breasted Velvet

Mockneck (also similar here) / Similar Jacket (also here) / Overalls (Similar here) / Similar Slides

I LOVE VELVET! Especially vintage velvet. Remember our posts here and here?

As mentioned on our instagram, we’ve been trying to purchase and incorporate much more vintage and secondhand items in our looks in order to support longer life cycles for our garments. I borrowed this blazer from our mom, and by borrowed, I mean permanently ?.

I most likely rolled my eyes ? when she got it years ago, but in my defense, what thirteen year old would truly understand the fabulosity that is this purple velvet double-breasted blazer?! It’s not the most functional pieces of outerwear as the buttons take FOREVER to close, but it has the most incredible fit. Take a tip from me and definitely don’t forget deodorant after locking yourself into a piece like this, or build in an extra ten minutes just in case ?.

I loved layering the fitted military-style jacket over skin tight overalls because the silhouette is amazing and I didn’t want the unique hardware to get lost over something printed. Maybe I’ll try that next! The white mock neck top was a last minute addition, but adds a tailored touch to the stand collar of the jacket.

Only my overalls are still available online, but similar pieces to the rest else are linked above!

Thoughts? Would you wear this look?
