Sometimes the people in your life are the best sources of unexpected inspiration.
Coming back from our life-changing adventures in Israel hasn’t been a particularly easy adjustment. Not to say our day-to-day lives aren’t incredible, but nothing will ever compare to what we experienced during our ten days abroad with our newfound second mishpacha (family). Made up of such a motley of personalities and backgrounds, it was truly meant to be that our paths would cross… and without much disagreement.
After some reflection I’ve come to terms with the fact that, although the specific 10-day adventure has come to an end, the person I was then doesn’t have to. I attained a new level of freedom, happiness and self-exploration, and my new goal is to try to sustain and perpetuate that as long as I can in the days to come.
Today’s mantra, a comic strip from the iconic Calvin and Hobbes (a new personal favorite source of entertainment) and inspired by one person in particular, is in my opinion the most accurate depiction of my current state of mind.
Everybody seeks happiness! Not me though! That’s the difference between me and the rest of the world! Happiness isn’t good enough for me! I demand euphoria!
I’ve always considered myself an extremely happy person. Even still, now that I know I am capable of such a higher level of happiness, I am committed to maintaining that because settling for anything less is just that- settling.
Has anything ever made you feel like that? What are you going to do to achieve euphoria in your everyday life!?
