Tunesday: Wild for Wilco

It seems such a shame that I’ve only just become familiar with the folk-rock group, Wilco.

Formed in 1994 in Chicago, a city rich in culture, it’s no surprise that they’ve got such a deep-rooted alternative rock sound. It wasn’t until their third album, Summertime, that they began successfully climbing the charts; however, it’s a song on their 2007 (sixth) album, Sky Blue Sky, that has me falling for them.

Impossible Germany may not be their most lauded single, but the soft and slow low-key instrumentals and vocals have a very calming, almost romantic feel that I can’t get out of my head.

For any photography nerd, I am also a fan of the very leica-looking band logo.

What do you think of the song?
