Very Vintage

VINTAGE_SUEDE_SKIRT_4
This is one of my favorite looks of all time because it happens to be more than half vintage! Like we said in our last post, we're trying to extend the life cycles of our garments and invest in pieces that are longer lasting. The skirt was an AMAZING find from Wallflower Boutique during our recent-ish trip to San Francisco.  If you're looking for a great vintage experience, definitely make The Mission district a priority. Also, the bucket bag and three-tone (brass, silver, gold) belt belonged to our Momager! I found similar pre-owned versions of this suede midi here and here, and similar boots here! After brunching in Brooklyn (in this "recycled" getup), Gaby and I stumbled into the Package Free Shop and...

Everlane Lab SF

EVERLANE_STRIPE_CHINO_1
Top / Pants / Flats Though we were disappointed we missed the release of their jeans by just a few days, our first stop when we got to San Francisco was to the Everlane Lab in the heart of the Mission District. Everlane has been a Twinseperable favorite for some time, but we had only ever ordered online.  I had such a blast styling some of my favorite pieces in person, and the amazing gals running the shop were so incredibly kind and helpful.       Top / Pants / Shoes These cropped pants were probably my favorite bottoms of the day, but keep in mind they run quite big. I'm typically a 6/8 (closer to an 8), and these...

Baby Blues

Dress- Harshmans / Sweater (old)- Similar here / Sunnies- Karen Walker / Nail Polish- Essie (Bikini So Teeny) / Shoes- Stuart Weitzman   If millennial pink is a thing, I dub this millennial blue. It's no coincidence that both shades experienced a tandem rise to popularity, as they (or similar tones) were the colors of the year for 2016. I'm not one for monotone outfits, but as I started building the look, I realized just how many baby blues I had. If calm were a color, this would be it. Keep scrolling for my picks and let me know your thoughts on the shade!   1. Reformation / 2. Stuart Weitzman  / 3. Paula Cadermartori / 4. Shinola / 5. Furla...

Cables and Cold Shoulders

Cold-Shoulder-Cable-Knit-3
I've always been a lover of chunky cable knits. The cold shoulder trend on the other hand, not so much. I try to stay away from any garment that aims to draw that much attention to any one body part. I'm not particularly self conscious of my shoulders, and always considered them to be a fairly innocuous body part, but I'd never quite lost my skepticism of this trend. That is, however, until I tried this specific one. Different aspects of the garment can definitely help or hurt the entire look. For example, if the cold shoulder is too open or too closed. Even the neckline makes a difference. I much prefer this style with a built up neck. Basically, whether this trend works,...

It’s In The Stars

When the Kate Bosworth X Matisse collection was released months ago, I fawned over the fawn colored Charlotte boot (number 2 below). With a price tag over $400, and scattered star-studded detail (which, although incredibly cool, could potentially lower the wearability and increase the CPW), they were definitely out of the question and completely out of my budget. As the months went on, the trend expanded and I found myself stalking every shopping website and Pinterest board in an attempt to find an affordable pair. After striking out in stores and online, a beautiful confluence of events gave me the perfect DIY idea. While running an errand at a trim store in the Garment District, I was scrolling through my instagram feed when an...
