With the other half of team Twinseperable working during the day, I was dreading what the days after my surgery would be like. Thanks to my good friends Rory and Lorelai, recovering from my tonsillectomy wasn’t all that terrible. Needing a distraction and in preparation for the upcoming Gilmore Girls miniseries, I spent the past week and a half watching the masterpiece in its entirety. In true Momager fashion, our mother flew up for the week to help nurse me back to health- which made watching a show about the incredible bond between mother and daughter all the more special.

The theme song turned into an anthem of our own, also descriptive of our relationship.  The song is about a man but we pretend it’s just about the unconditional love between mother and daughters. Carole King even re-recorded the song with her daughter for the show, adding even more depth to its meaning.

Today’s Tunesday is dedicated to our mother for being such a trooper and waking up every four hours to give me my medicine- amongst other wonderful reasons.
